This Privacy Policy explains how AUTO LIFE, LLC ("AUTO LIFE," "we," "us") handles personal information when you visit this website or contact us through it. This website only displays our vehicle inventory. It does not sell vehicles, take payments, process credit applications, or create user accounts for the public.

a) Information you choose to send us

When you tap a WhatsApp or call button, or use the "Car finder" form, you contact us directly. The form does not send your information to our website or database: it prepares a message on your own device and opens WhatsApp, where you decide whether to send it. If you send it, we receive your name, the vehicle you are looking for, any optional details you add (minimum year, budget, notes), and your WhatsApp phone number and profile name. While you fill it in, what you type is kept only in your browser, in that tab, so it is not lost if you step away to read this policy; it is deleted when you send the request or close the tab.

b) Technical information

Like any website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, and date and time of the request (server logs). We do not use this data to identify you or build a profile about you.

So that the inventory updates on your screen when a vehicle changes, while the page is open your browser asks our own website about every 20 seconds whether the inventory has changed. This check does not send your name or any identifier, and your browser does not connect to our database provider.

c) What we do NOT collect on this website

  • We do not use analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies.
  • We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial or credit information, or payment card data through this website.
  • We do not collect precise geolocation.

3. How we use information

  • To answer your questions about our vehicles and to follow up on your "Car finder" request.
  • To schedule visits or test drives that you request.
  • To operate, maintain and secure the website.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to protect our rights.

We will not send you marketing messages unless you ask us to or give us your consent, and you can ask us to stop at any time by replying "STOP" or telling us.

4. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share information only with:

  • Service providers that help us run the website: our hosting provider (Vercel), our inventory database and photo storage provider (Supabase), and LAB, the team that builds and maintains the website. They process data on our behalf.
  • WhatsApp and Facebook (Meta Platforms), when you choose to contact us through WhatsApp or through Facebook Marketplace or Messenger. Meta handles your messages under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Google, only if you accept "Google Maps" in the cookie notice, choose to load the map on our Contact page, or follow a Google Maps link.
  • Authorities or other parties when required by law, or to protect our rights, customers or the public.
  • A successor business in case of a merger, sale or transfer of the business.

5. How long we keep information

We keep WhatsApp and Messenger conversations and request details only as long as needed to respond to you and follow up on your request, and afterwards as required by law (for example, dealership sales records). Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited time according to its retention settings.

6. Buying a vehicle

If you decide to buy a vehicle, the purchase is arranged directly with AUTO LIFE, outside this website. Any information needed for the sale, title, registration, export or financing (including the identification that the law requires) is collected at that time on separate paper or electronic forms, and is subject to the notices you receive at that time, including any privacy notice required by federal law if financing is arranged.

7. Your choices and rights

You may ask us to:

  • confirm whether we have personal information about you and give you a copy;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete information you gave us (unless we must keep it by law);
  • stop contacting you.

Maryland residents may have additional rights under the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act when it applies to us. To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 1. We will verify your request and respond within 45 days. You may appeal a decision by replying to our response; if you are not satisfied, you may contact the Maryland Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Global Privacy Control / Do Not Track: we do not track visitors across websites and we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. We still treat any such signal as a valid opt-out request.

8. Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Only authorized AUTO LIFE staff can log in to manage the inventory. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect information.

10. Artificial intelligence and automated decisions

This website does not use chatbots or artificial intelligence to interact with you, and it does not make automated decisions about you (for example, about prices, credit or eligibility).

11. Visitors from outside the United States

This website is operated from the United States for people interested in vehicles at our dealership in Laurel, Maryland. If you visit from another country, the limited information described in this policy is processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your country. You may exercise the choices and rights in Section 7 wherever you live.

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
